We’re going global!

Thanks for having us on the forum. My husband and I are ready to ship our 7.5 tonne expedition truck overseas from Australia to travel the globe in our retirement. We plan to spend approx half of each year travelling and half at home. We’ve had some amazing adventures in Aus but think it’d be wise to save the rest of our own country for our ‘older age’. With our first grandchild arriving later this year south east Asia sounds like a good option as it will be easier to make regular flights home but we’re at a bit of a loss as to where to ship to initially as RORO shipping options from Australia seem limited right now. I’m considering Indonesia or Malaysia but any suggestions would be welcome

Hi Lisa, I am in a similar situation. I am Australian and ready to ship my 6 tonne expedition truck from Australia to travel the globe in my retirement. I am also contemplating spending part of each year back in Australia. I am now considering where to start. My initial thinking is to ship out of Fremantle into Singapore and travel through Asia towards Iran and then the Stans.
