Hey all,

We are well into planning a delayed Sweden trip. We had intended to travel from UK this year but Covid put an end to that. Hopefully 2021 will be our year.

I'll probably post separately but essentially I'm looking for good books, maps, gps, safety considerations etc for travelling through Swedish wilderness.

We will be a family of 5 - 2 adults, 2 young children and a dog and will probably have 3 weeks to play with in total. We will be travelling in a Land Rover and Expedition Trailer.

Thanks all.

Hey there,

we Are since august in Sweden and Travel now from north to south. Basically you should check out the app park4night as well as maps.me. Both will help you to find amazing spots as well as free of charge offline navigation.

In total you don’t need any specific knowledge for safety except if you travel in the morning and after 5pm to watch out for game which can pass the street at any time.

it is also good to always have a bag of fire wood with you to start a campfire.

alcohol is only available in special stores called system Bolaget !

best,

manuel
