Subaru all-wheel drive with roof tent + camping equipment for sale
It is with a heavy heart that we are parting with our great all-wheel drive travel companion. We have had wonderful adventures with it and it has taken us everywhere we wanted to go. The roof tent is super comfortable; we slept excellently in it.
We wanted to be independent in South America by car and also have the option of being able to camp comfortably in remote places. If you want to travel like that too, then go for it. Advice and travel tips for South America (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, Bolivia, Peru) are available free of charge if desired.
The car is to be returned in April 2025 in Peru or northern Chile (e.g. Iquique)
Car:
- Subaru Forester 2.0, built in 2008, petrol + LPG

- Mileage: currently 210,000 km; expected to have 225,000 km when sold
- German TÜV until January 2026
- permanent all-wheel drive; differential gear,
- we had another service carried out before the trip (new brake discs, etc.)
- in South America an exhaust valve had a hole; we had the cylinder heads completely overhauled: all valves new
- including spare tire
- including jack and wheel wrench
- including starter cable,
- including fire extinguisher + 2 warning triangles + 2 safety vests (you definitely need them in Argentina, for example)

Roof tent
- Nakatenga Roof Lodge Evo 2 mounted on the roof racks
- Tent skin: 320 g/m² polycotton, PU-coated; the darker material of the tent skin enables a restful sleep even in the morning hours

- 25mm aluminum rods curved outwards for better water drainage
- Thermoplastic honeycomb floor; German brand product
- one-piece mattress (60mm thick); standard hardness (recommended for people up to 100 kg)
- 2 comfort pillows
- 3D mattress pad (10mm thick) for a restful sleep; significantly increases the comfort of lying down and prevents condensation that can form when the windows are closed
