Hi everyone. A buddy and I will be driving my Saudi registered 2009 Land Cruiser VXR from Saudi Arabia to England (shipping it from Jordan to southern Turkey to avoid Syria), following the Mediterranean coastline the whole way. We will do a mix of camping and hotels so recommendations along that coastline are more than welcome, as are notes of any recent experiences dealing with customs authorities in Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia, for starters. Whoooa, unusual trip! I lived as teenager in Riyadh 1978 to 1981. It as the wild west in those days, with westerners being thrust to the front of the crowd at beheadings. I'm sure it's changed, but in those days people used to buy local exotic cars (e.g E type Jags and XJS's) and drive them to the UK .
