In 2014 I have travelled from Istanbul to Sydney. On my backpack I attached a frying pan and organized my Pancake Adventures to get in touch with the locals and to become a participant instead of a voyeur. Most of my trip was overland. Weirdly after lots of googling overland routes nobody ever told me about this great website until recently.
Now I am planning a new trip from Russia (with love) to South Africa. It has to be a sustainable trip, so no flying. I am curious if it's gonna work and when the borders will be open again. Preferably I would go through East Africa, but didn't find a good route to cross Syria. So if anyone has ideas! I'm very open to it.
