Sounds awesome.
We are having to scrap Malaysia from our list, a big regret, as I have been told you cannot overland through Thailand with a vehicle over 3,500kg GVM any longer. Something I hope to get clarity on this forum perhaps even.
So currently it looks like there is no way for us to get down there. Initially the idea was to drive down to Malaysia and ship to Australia from there.

I have it from a reliable source who travelled there.
But I guess you should be fine with Land Rovers as they have a GVM of less than 3,500kg. Although you may need to travel with a compulsory guide I am not sure. You need to look into this for sure.
We will be travelling with an Iveco ML150 4x4 (GVM 15,000kg).
