Maximum stay with temporary imported permit west coast Africa

I want to travel along the west coast of Africa by motorcycle at end of this year but I have to do during my holidays period for this reason I will have to leave the motorcycle in somewhere of the path and come back several months later. I want to travel without CPD and I do not know if I will have any problem to leave the vehicle during months in some country. If you have some information, it would be very appreciated
