Hi all

I came across the Sphere at Stratford last year and have joined to get relevant information for upcoming trip to Southern Africa, hopefully getting the Ro Ro from Sheerness to Walvis Bay in October and picking him up early November.

I have downloaded the forms from Cars for the Carnet, but will look at other options.

We (Jo the wife) and I have done a couple of other self propelled trips, down to Benin in a Pajero, we were going to Cameroon but they wouldn't let us in to Nigeria, but great trip back up through Niger and Mali.

Clockwise around the Med in an Iveco Turbo Daily, across Syria and back through Libya, so glad we got there before Mr Blair and his nutty American friend set fire to everything!

Her indoors has now insisted on indoor plumbing, shower etc. so now have a MB 614 DA which I am hoping to get ready before we leave! The plan is turn left at Walvis, up to Angola border, may pop over depending on price. Turn right and over to Mozambique, right again to Swaziland, back over to Namibia in March, home for when it gets a bit warmer.

I know it's the rainy season, but I would rather be wet and warm than freezing.

Any observations, or advice on obvious errors welcome.

Bruce
