My name is Eltjo van Wijk and sonds 1.5 year i am traveling with my wife Anke van den Heuvel after quiting our jobs. Recentrly decided to add an other 1 year or so by doing Cairo-Cape Town-Tangier.
Previously we did mainly the middle east like Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and we are now in Aswan-Egypt with a Sudan visa in our hand. Yep an ESTA for the states is not an option anymore. We experienced in the last year that having contacts along the road makes it much more easier and above all interesting. Without you can't do Iraq for instance. We hope we can share our experiences in this group and that members are willing to give input on potential questions wich will arise during our Africa trip.
