Wanted to share our experience since I was going through old threads here trying to plan this trip a few weeks back and didn't find much recent info.

We're a family of five, myself, my wife, our two kids and my mother in law, and we needed to get from Jamnagar to Ahmedabad for a family function. Driving ourselves wasn't really an option since none of us wanted to do a 320 km stretch with young kids getting restless in the back seat of our own car, so we looked into a Jamnagar to Ahmedabad taxi service instead.

Went with MrCabby after a friend mentioned them. Booked an SUV since we needed the extra space for two car seats and everyone's bags. The booking itself through mrcabby.in was quick, maybe five minutes total, and they confirmed pickup timing for early the next morning.

The drive itself took about five hours forty minutes, we made one stop near Rajkot for the kids to stretch and use a washroom, which the driver was fine accommodating without any fuss. Roads were decent for most of the stretch, a bit rough in patches closer to Surendranagar but nothing that made the kids uncomfortable.

What I appreciated was that the driver didn't rush through the stop or seem annoyed about the extra fifteen minutes we took. With kids, that patience matters more than people realize.

Pricing was settled before we left Jamnagar, so there was no awkward conversation about extra charges at the end, which has happened to us before with other cab bookings on different routes.

We're doing the return trip in two weeks and already booked it through the same service since the first experience was smooth enough that I didn't want to shop around again.

If anyone's planning a similar family trip on this route, my main tip would be to just be upfront about your group size and luggage when booking so they send the right vehicle. We got lucky that our friend had already suggested SUV, but I've heard of people booking sedans and then struggling with space.

Anyway, that's my experience. Let me know if anyone has questions about the route or the timing.
