Our trip has finally become reality. After alot of searching we finally found a affordable 4x4 overlander option to cross southern africa with. We are on the way and all is going well. We saw whales jumping around in Hermanus, Bonte boks in Swellendam national park, hiked around hogsback and through Lesotho, Drakenberg and Swaziland, saw the third largest canyon on the blyde river and saw 4 of the 5 big 5 in Kruger. Tomorrow on the way to Mozambique and the weather is finally getting better. Overlanding is not for those that require alot of wifi as there is almost never a connection but it feels great to be offline and on the road. The landrover has be renamed Rafiki as “ he knows the way”! On to warmer nights! Any tips for Malawi and/or Zambia?

A quick update before we take off out of Mozambique. We took the border crossing through Kruger park which seem idylical but the road is washboard bumps for about 100 km (most of it on the Moz side) and the Limpopo park is deffiately not worth the visit and entracne fee. Moz is great, along the coast up to Inhasorro the road (EN1) is good and all the small towns and beaches great. Above Inhasorro it is clear that the goverment has decided to stop updating the road the there are mainly potholes all the way up to the junction near Chimoio. We decided that it was enough bumping around and turned off and are now on the way to Malawi via Tete. So long Moz and hello Malawiiiii
