Hi

We are coming to decision crux time re our Central American journey.

Currently about to cross into Mexico from Baja- La Paz.

Which way to go? We are RHD and know we are going to have problems getting thru' to Panama to connect with Cartegena. Has there been any changes to the Ban over the last few weeks?

If no, we are going to have to either a/ ship from Mexico somewhere? Or b/ go back into the States and ship from Galveston.

Any one know of recent changes ??

We had an update from the British embassy around a week ago, they say the changes to the local law are in progress however there is no ETA as to when they will be made and accepted into local law.

The Embassy were remided by their contact that as it stands RHD vehicles entering Costa Rica would not legal on the roads.

Probably the best option is to ship mexico to Colombia (SC Line) its the same ship people use for RORO from Panama - Colombia and not much more expensive.

You still have the option of driving through some of the other counties like Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador etc, so it does not have to completely ruin central America...

Thanks for your reply. We still have approx. 160 days of our Mexico visa so, hopefully the situation may change. Will look at SC lines in the mean time.
