Hey everyone,

I'm new here and planning my first summer trip in August. It's going to be hot where I'm going. I'll be bringing my puppy Jerry along too. Here's my question: Do you think I should get a portable AC to keep us cool, especially at night when sleeping? If anyone has summer trip experience, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Just a quick "yes" or "no" will do, and if it's a "yes," please recommend one. If not, share your opinions. Your help is highly appreciated!

I have a zero breeze and find it useful. It has a compressor that cools it without adding extra ice, so it reduces the humidity of the environment when in use. As you know, being in an environment with high humidity can be uncomfortable and lowering the humidity allows me to rest better. It doesn't have as much cooling capacity as the car's air conditioner, but it's good enough for me. I power it with a portable power station, so I don't have to worry about draining the battery.

I suggest today to buy an ecoflow wave 2 portable Aircon.

Personally I did buy an Eurom Split AC (showed above in the image) some years back, still used to cool my homeoffice during the summer.

It is necessary if you or your travelmates (too animals) need them.

For healthy people it is usually not necessary. I didnt carry an AC for my Transafrica...¨
