Just joined, found the way here whilst researching the pros/cons of LHD/RHD as the base for a RtW vehicle. Obviously as a uk resident RHD is plentiful and somewhat cheaper in the main, but does come with some limitations where they are allowed to go.
Have driven some of West Africa many years ago in a LHD 110, then parked the overland dreams. However, now looking to restart those efforts with the aim of setting out in 3 to 5 years as a solo traveller with a lightweight set up.
So hoping to harvest the wisdom of the hive mind as I consider all the various options, including whether I truly need 4wd!! Heresy I know
