There is currently an outbreak of pneumococcal meningitis in the Brong Ahafo, Ashanti and Northern regions of Ghana. A number of deaths have been reported (see Health). The level of the advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to exercise normal safety precautions in Ghana.
