Hi OverlandSphere,

My boyfriend and I are traveling to Panama and wondering how the roads are through Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica?
We heard the rainy season is lasting a bit longer than usual.
Should we expect a lot of rain in Jan, Feb & March?

We rode through Mexico without much rain at all!

Thanks!

The main roads are generally good and tarred, so you should not have issues with the rain unless you are planning to venture offroad,

Some roads in Costa Rica, If there is rain, may impassable due to high river crossings i.e remote areas of the Nicoya Peninsula & Corcovado National Park and the Osa peninsula etc so check these before heading out.

Some tourist sites, waterfall & parks are on gravel roads, but generally are well maintained but occasionally you may come across a road of two which represents, a river bed with large slippery rocks etc.

Generally, it wont be raining all day, It usually rains during the afternoon to mid afternoon, early evening,

For country specific information it probably worth asking in our FB Overlanding Group
