Coming back to Oz

Hi All, Just joined the group. Im live in the UK but have previously lived in Oz & still have my Aus Tax File number. Im 62 now & going back some 30 years used to work for Gascoyne Trading out of Bassandean Perth driving Roadtrains to Broome & back. Ive been back a few times & hired a Nissan Patrol from what is or was Koala campers.

In the next 18 months I am looking at shipping my Jeep Wrangler over to Aus for a 6 month trip. Any help & advise appreciated

For shipping to Australia for tourism purposes you will need a Carnet.

From tomorrow the Stink Bug season ends, so if shipping via container you wont need to fumigate the vehicle, if shipping RORO you would still need to as all carriers have implemented the requirement year round for used POV's.

Cleaning, the vehicle needs to be spotlessly clean to meet AQIS requirements, if it selected for cleaning you expect additional fees of $600-$1000 AUD, and possible delays obtaining the vehicle.

Thank. Ive been quotes £959 shipping by container & £1349 by Roro but had not taken into account fumigation so thanks for the info
